Rawan Ghazouli

Program Coordinator

Rawan Ghazouli is a researcher and designer based in San Diego. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction from UC San Diego.

Her professional journey involves both industry and community-centered work. As a Project Coordinator at the UC San Diego Design Lab, she collaborated with multidisciplinary teams and nonprofits to address community needs and develop human-centered solutions to complex challenges. Later, as a UX Researcher at Blink UX, she contributed to benchmark studies and usability testing to help create better user experiences.

Growing up in San Diego as an immigrant has shaped Rawan’s understanding of identity, belonging, and the importance of creating spaces where people can feel represented and heard. She believes in the power of storytelling to honor unique personal journeys, bridge differences, and build connections across diverse groups.

At the AjA Project, she is interested in supporting programs that empower self-expression, encourage collective healing, creativity, and foster a sense of belonging.
